One in ten thousand
Yellow
Most fancy diamonds carry only a whisper of yellow. A true fancy vivid — the canary — is the moment that whisper becomes a voice.
Under one percent
Orange
Pure orange, with no brown to mute it, is so scarce it earned a name of its own — the fire diamond. Most stones never reach it.
Ninety percent, one mine
Pink
Nine in ten of the world's pinks came from a single Australian mine. It closed in 2020. What exists now is all there will ever be.
Coloured by boron
Blue
Blue is written by boron, trapped in the lattice as the crystal grew. The Hope Diamond is only its most famous sentence.
